Happy Thanksgiving

I was really looking forward to William partaking in Thanksgiving dinner this year and to my disappointment he would only eat turkey. He refused to try anything else. Let me just tell you that this whole year has been difficult when it comes to getting him to eat anything. Other moms tell me it gets better or give me ideas on what to try. He is determined to control what goes into his mouth and tummy. This may be that one battle I will have refuse to fight. Yes, it looks like I will be one of those moms buying McDonald's just so her kid can have something in his tummy. It's going to be another long year.

On a brighter note...

Ben decided to give me my birthday present early...

I got a Wii!!!

First Trip to Disneyland

September 20th, 2008

Capital Group SoCal picnic at Disneyland and California Adventure

We had our first family excursion to Disneyland and William had a blast. He got to play in the sprinklers and get wet. He tried out a variety of rides and turns out Alice in Wonderland was his favorite. For some reason he was super excited when we are on that ride. It was great to see such excitement.

Almost Two!

Twinkle twinkle little star...

He is singing, counting, and saying his ABCs. Well, some form of singing, counting, and saying his ABCs.

Throughout the day I will hear him saying, "two, three, four, five, six, nine..." Yes, we are working on the order. :-) When he plays with Leap (thanks to BWW & KIF) he sings his ABCs. He mostly chimes in around "L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, ...next time ...sing with me..."

Running, climbing, and wrestling mama are mastered gross motor skills! Definately MASTERED! He enjoys going to the park and playing on the slide. Most of all he likes the swing. Once we get him in there we have to pry him out kicking and wriggling. He tries to sing Rock-a-bye baby when he swings.

We have such a wonderful and loving baby boy. I couldn't be a prouder mom. He is completely amazing in all the things he does. His curiousity and problem solving never cease to amaze me.

18 months

Ok, it has been way too long since my last update. I have tons of pictures on my camera that I just have not been able to transfer to my computer in order to provide the updates.
So here is a quick recap in case you don't want to scroll down...

Baby O' Mine is officially open for business. This is our first online store selling baby related products. Check it out when you get a chance! Also there is a blog associated with the site. I will be working on getting some more posts up there about baby related topics.

I have lost 22lbs since I started my program in Feb. I am also moving into phase III of my workout. I am hoping to wrap up the weight loss and workout by July 5th. At that point I will be moving to maintenance.

And now on to what you really came here to read about: William!

He is movin' and groovin', literally. He loves to dance. He is showing a lot more interest in the world around him. While outside he likes to collect rocks and smash ants and rollie polies with his finger.

He enjoys climbing and running away from anyone that may think of chasing him. We took him to the park a couple times and he had a blast making friends, following little girls, and swinging. He also got a chance to swing a baseball bat and hit the ball while at the park. He was pretty good. We think he will be left handed. He writes and does most things with his left hand versus his right. He occassionally uses the right but it seems the left is dominant. He has gotten really good at communicating his needs (without words we fully understand). When he wants something he grabs our hands and pull us over to where the object is. For example, when he wants something from the fridge, he drags us over there and prompts us to open the door and pick him up. Also, if a toy is stuck somewhere he comes and gets me to help him get it out. It's pretty neat!He is getting good at counting and saying more words each day. He gets really involved with talking in his baby gibberish. I bet real words will follow shortly. Well, that is about it for now.

As always, check out the latest pics.

Baby O' Mine is officially open!!

Come one, come all...
Click here to check out our online store.

As many of you may know Ben and I have been working on building a business for the last couple years. It has taken some time but our company Lost in Transaction, Inc has finally launched it's first online store. With William being an inspiration we decided to focus on baby products to begin with.

The site is officially open and it would be great if you can spread the word to anyone who may be planning, expecting, or just shopping for a baby, babies, or toddlers.

Any questions or concerns regarding the website please feel free to contact me. We are also looking for feedback on our inventory as well as pricing. This being our first ecommerce store your support is greatly appreciated.

Hope to hear from you soon!

P.S.
Look out for an email on our bed and bath store launch.

About me!

Ok, William has pretty much owned this blog. I thought I would take an opportunity to mention a little something about me.

I have recently transferred into a new role at work. I am not in the project management office of our department. This is a great new change for me. I am really happy and excited about the opportunity and what lies ahead.

Mom, Martha and her kids are preparing for this year's camping events. Our first trip is to Lake Perris on March 20th. It should be a blast now that William is bigger. Oops! There I go again... talking about William.

Well aside from my new job all I have going is my new weight loss plan. Check back often to see how I am doing.

15th Month

William is coming up on the end of his 15th month. He is running, climbing, and saying more words each day. He says "mama," "dada," "ma," (for grandma), "dog," "cat," "shoes," and "go." He is getting better at repeating our words. He mostly gets the end of the word but he is trying. He loves going outside and playing with all his musical toys. He knows how to make each toy sing, speak, etc. He and grandma do outdoors a lot. They have been going to the park and hanging out in the backyard daily (when it is nice out). Daddy gave William his first haircut last Saturday. See if you can tell in the pics below. Aside from that we are just enjoying our day to day with our sweet baby boy!!

A New Year!

Christmas and New Years were fairly uneventful. William had a lot more fun trying to play with the torn wrapping paper. He was not as interested in his actual presents. It was nice to have my nieces and nephew come over and open their presents.
Ben's parents were visiting from Detroit. It was the first time they met William. He was a little shy at first but soon warmed up to them. We spent a couple days in Palm Springs then came back for Christmas. I showed the 'rents around beautiful Santa Clarita. :-)
William is doing great. He is running and eating everything we do. He is doing better at communicating his needs by reaching for things he wants.
